About Elefantastic Foundation

A Foundation Built on
Showing Up for Animals.

We're a Rajasthan-based non-profit working with communities, vets and volunteers to support animals that need care — from street dogs to elephants who can no longer live in the wild.

Our Story

Small Beginnings,
Steady Growth

Elefantastic Foundation started with a simple belief — that every animal, regardless of size or species, deserves someone in its corner. Since 2016, that belief has shaped a slow, steady body of work across Rajasthan.

We're not a large organisation with a fleet of vehicles or a big office. We're a small, committed team that works closely with local vets, authorities and volunteers to do what we can, within our means.

2016

Foundation Established

Elefantastic Foundation is registered, starting with a handful of volunteers supporting animals in and around Jaipur.

2018

Vet-Led Care Program Begins

We formalise partnerships with local veterinarians and start our stray sterilisation and vaccination drives.

2020

Long-Term Sanctuary Care

We take on our first cases of elephants that cannot be released back — the start of our permanent care program.

2023

Reaching Further

Our work extends to 12 districts across Rajasthan, supported by a growing volunteer and donor community.

Today

Still On the Ground

We continue to work case by case, animal by animal — guided by the same belief we started with.

What Guides Us

Our Mission & Values

A few simple principles shape every decision we make, from a single stray case to our long-term sanctuary program.

The Animal Comes First

Every decision is guided by what's best for the animal's welfare, not convenience or process.

Vet-Led, Not Guesswork

Treatment and care decisions are made in consultation with veterinary professionals wherever possible.

Community, Not Isolation

We work with local authorities, vets and residents — we don't try to do everything alone.

Care That Doesn't End

For animals that can't be released, we commit to caring for them for as long as they live.

Who Works With Us

A Small Team, A Wider Network

We stay small and close to the ground by design, and lean on a wider circle of partners to do more than we could alone.

Field Coordinators

Assess cases on the ground and coordinate the right response for each animal.

Veterinary Partners

Local vets who guide treatment plans and long-term care for animals in our sanctuary.

Volunteers

Support everything from awareness drives to daily care at our centres.

Local Authorities

Partners in forest, municipal and animal welfare departments across our districts.
